The year is 2020: We carry entire computers in our pockets, dinner is delivered by drone, and every event is documented on social media.
But one thing hasn’t changed in the past hundred years: the most beautiful tables and furniture pieces are made of wood. But why?
Nature creates designs that leave us speechless. Every knot, every grain—everything seems to have its own unique purpose. No two trees are alike—each one is a unique masterpiece. In a world where even entire cities are replicated, nature stands as a monument to individuality.
That’s why, at Stammdesign, nature itself sets the tone. We create designer dining tables by hand, based on the natural and individual characteristics of each tree.
The selection of tree trunks plays an extremely important role. We personally determine which trees have the perfect potential to become our unique pieces. We primarily work with local trees that have reached the end of their life cycle—often those that have fallen victim to storms. This allows us to preserve the soul and individuality of these trees in a truly special way.
